The Kindest Month Of The Year

December is most remarkable to me every single year.

“People you don’t know smile and say hello” OFTEN.

It’s not just a song lyric, it’s an amazing change in the atmosphere.

Happiness overflows. I love it ❤️‼️

Kindness becomes more prevalent.

More people have offered to take my grocery cart back this month than in the total 11 months that preceded this one.

Strangers have let me ahead of them in the Post Office lines.

Far less people have blown their horns at me in traffic or cut me off changing lanes too quickly.

Happy faces, or rather happy eyes since masks are covering most faces in public, are all around because there is a great spirit of joy.

Kindness and happiness are the norm rather than the exception.

People even smile and nod their heads beside us as we wait at a traffic light.

It is delightful.

I pray that the world becomes more kind every month.

It would definitely make it a better place for us all.

Scriptures for your reading pleasure:

1 Samuel 20:14 (NIV)

But show me unfailing kindness like the Lord’s kindness as long as I live…

Psalm 146:5 (KJV)

Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help,

Whose hope is in the Lord his God

Finally, may kindness and happiness brighten your day more often.
